Cockpit Module / Interior
Cockpit Module and Interior Products are closer to the users than any other product since we constantly interact with them (sight, touch, feel) while we are in the car. Not only do they provide comfort, such as user-friendliness, quality appearance, and texture, they are also designed to enhance driving safety. Purpose: A cockpit module is an assembly consisting of air conditioning units, ducts, electronic units (such as meters), harnesses, and instrument panels built around the steering member. Compared to separately installing each component onto a vehicle, this allows greater reliability and component optimization. Strengths: Let us know the surface design, component requirements, structure, and specifications, and Calsonic Kansei will carry out the complex internal design of the cockpit module and recommend a proposal to you. We are able to carry out different types of CAE analysis and tests on feasibility of assembly.
Cockpit Module / InteriorInstrument Panel
Purpose: Instrument panels can be said to be the face of a vehicle's interior. In addition to comfort, which includes safety and ease of use, we add value by providing additional features such as beautiful appearances and a luxurious feel. We are able to cater to various specifications and methods, from luxury cars to mass-market cars.
Cockpit Module / InteriorConsole
Purpose: The console is linked to the instrument panel and is a product that combines design with operational components, such as the gear shift, and comfort components, such as cup holders. Designing the layout within the limited space between the seats is a complex task that requires a high level of expertise. Strengths: We carry out development through technology collaboration with suppliers of decorative features so that we can faithfully adhere to the design requirements of automotive manufacturers. We have broad expertise in this area, including our surface treatment technique that balances high-end specifications with appearance.
Cockpit Module / InteriorDecorative Finisher
Purpose: Finishers are similar to instrument panels. As a separate product attached onto the instrument panel, they need to add value through superiority in appearance and sense of touch, and must meet the diverse needs of our customers. Strengths: We carry out development through technology collaboration with suppliers of molds, forming, and coating, so that we can faithfully adhere to the design requirements of automotive manufacturers. We have broad expertise in this area, including our draft angle verification technique that uses data mapping.
Cockpit Module / InteriorSteering Member
Purpose: The steering member is a part of the vehicle frame, and at the same time the backbone of the cockpit module. It has many functions, such as providing strength and rigidity for the vehicle’s safety, supporting components such as the air conditioning unit, and connecting with the vehicle body. Strengths: We produce steering members that combines many functions, such as steering support rigidity, collision safety performance, and being the backbone of the cockpit module. We have built up expertise in efficiently welding multiple brackets with high precision in a single stage.
